FLOCKHILL Villas immerse you in the natural beauty of your surroundings with fluid internal and external spaces. There are seven villa complexes comprising fourteen private bedrooms. Each villa complex has two king rooms and a sumptuous lounge adjoined, enabling larger families or friend groups to be housed together.
Each villa bedroom encompasses a King Bed (or Twin), ensuite bathroom, welcoming fire, seated comfort, and a private deck all set within native seclusion. From your elevated windows directed to Purple Hill’s summit, you are a fragment of the continuous connection between internal and external spaces. Your room’s calming palette, organic textures, and relaxed luxury inspires you to surrender to the wilderness and uncover something new.
Choose to include the lounge as part of your accommodation and enjoy a dining area, indoor ambient fire, and elevated doors that open onto a private deck with outdoor seating and a fireplace.

TRAINS, HELICOPTERS & AUTOMOBILES
Arrive (or depart) on the TranzAlpine train. One of the great journeys of NZ, coast to coast through the Southern Alps. Travel over the Canterbury plains, ascend rugged mountains, travel through man excavated tunnels, over dramatic viaducts, around lush lake valleys. Be picked up at Arthurs Pass by a FLOCKHILL team member to be taken on a 30-minute scenic journey to FLOCKHILL Station.
Arrive (or depart) by helicopter. Your personal concierge will meet you at Christchurch International Airport to retrieve your luggage and transport it to FLOCKHILL. A helicopter will be ready to transfer you to FLOCKHILL Station with an incredible scenic journey over the patchwork of the Canterbury Plains, the braided river of the Waimakariri river, the snowy peaks of the Alps and the lush beech forests of the valleys.
Arrive (or depart) by chauffeured luxury vehicle along the Great Alpine Highway which is directly outside our gates at FLOCKHILL. It is a 1 hour & 20-minute journey through the Craigieburn Valley, Porters Pass and the Canterbury Plains to the Christchurch International Airport.
